Lava™ Crowns and Bridges
Lava™ presents an innovative CAD/CAM technology for all-ceramic crowns and bridges on a zirconia base. Zirconia is a high-tech ceramic material that is characterized by its outstanding stability and biocompatibility, as well as strength levels significantly higher than other all-ceramic materials. In addition to strength, Lava all-ceramic restorations display excellent esthetics and precise fit characteristics.

Lava™ Ceram
VM9 Veneering Ceramics:
Apply directly without bonding systems or opaquer. Designed to meet the coefficients of thermal expansion of Lava Frame for stress-free bonding of materials.

Lava™ Frame Zirconia: A high-tech ceramic material characterized by its outstanding stability and biocompatibility. Offers high strength levels (1300 mps), esthetic appearance, and precision fit.

Send to Lab Solutions:
Upper and Lower models with dies trimmed.
(bite registration for bridges should cover pontic and 2 adjacent teeth on either side).
Shade Choice.

Indications
Crowns.
Crowns over Implants.
3 to 6 Unit Bridges with total lengths up to 38mm.

Ideal Preparation
1mm chamfer margin
1.5mm axial wall reduction
2mm incisal/occlusal reduction required.
No Knife-edge margins
Note: As with any all-ceramic, no sharp or right angles.

Recommended Cements
Lava can be cemented using conventional PFM techniques. We recommend:
Rely X Unicem from 3M ESPE (www.3MESPE.com)
Panavia 21 from J. Morita. (www.jmoritausa.com)
GC Fuji Glass Ionomer. (www.gcamerica.com)

Adjustment Tips
Avoid internal adjustment of Lava coping.
When adjustments are necessary, adjust prepped tooth.
Use a diamond with water for ceramic adjustments of veneer porcelain.
Avoid carbide bur use.
